art software
Kid Pix Deluxe 3 offers a computerized approach to creative art projects. Like its predecessors, it allows children a dazzling variety of ways to draw, paint, color, create pictures with tools that resemble real oil paint, airbrush, crayon, marker, pencil and more! Special effects include the mixer, paper textures, fill buckets, the rubber stamper, sound art, wacky brushes to name just a few. Users can import and edit their photographic pictures or email their artwork to others. There are templates for maps and flags and other school projects, backgrounds for pictures to jump-start your creative spirit, stickers and animation sequences to embellish wherever your creative spirit leads. The possibilities outstrip most imaginations and its unlimited potential make boredom an impossibility. This is a great program for kids and quite easy to use just by exploring. Click the question mark and click any button you have questions about to receive a simple explanation of how to use it. The array of kid friendly, goofy features is endless. Various tools have been added to make it more Internet and photo-friendly as well as school project-friendly when compared to earlier versions.
Kid Pix Deluxe 3 is a wacky, creative program which is easily used by children ages 4 and up. It allows kids to unleash their creative talents with a computerized art format that bubbles over with boundless artistic juice. One of our reviewers noted that, "Even making mistakes can be fun."
Anyone familiar with previous versions of Kid Pix will find this version just as appealing. Most kids think more is better, so by that yardstick Kid Pix Deluxe 3 is certainly worth it. Making a birthday card where the cake frosting looks like actual frosting and the flames on the candles are convincing is worth it. However, most parents will be more discriminating. The addition of maps and more school project-oriented offerings greatly enhances its appeal and utility. Want to test your child on the location of states or countries for a certain region? Very easy to do with Kid Pix Deluxe 3 . The ability to easily diagram, chart, and map material makes this program a useful tool for visual presentations that children can utilize in reports and other school homework.
On SuperKids' Windows Me test machine, the installation was quick and without glitches. Navigation through the program was as easy as drawing a piece of cake with Kid Pix Deluxe 3 and reference to the written instructions was unnecessary.
Great! Easy and entertaining for even young kids. Not the type of program that is easily outgrown because it can be used in so many ways. The sophistication of the child directs the type of project created in this easy to use format. Is it worth upgrading to a newer version if you already have it? It depends what you want to use it for and how antiquated your older version is. Do you want leather seats in your vehicle or is vinyl OK? Those with photo import capabilities and digital cameras will also enjoy customizing their personal photos, but do you crave these? Only you can answer that question.
