problem solving software
Pack up the tent and put on your sneakers, it's time for a delightful camping adventure! And who better to lead the expedition than our intrepid friend Arthur. We join Arthur and his gang enroute to the woods to view wildlife in their natural habitat. Their journey takes a sour turn however, when their teacher, Mr. Radburn, falls and twists his ankle. He retires to his tent to elevate the swollen limb, leaving Arthur and his pals stranded. If this isn't daunting enough, a stealthy bear makes off with the group's food supplies! Not to be discouraged, the classmates put their heads together to problem solve a solution to their dilemma. They quickly come up with three possibilities, they can fix The Brain's two-way radio and use it to call for help; climb to a high place and flash a mirror to attract help, or fly an SOS signal on a kite. It's up to the user to decide which route to take, and the path chosen effects the remainder of the game.
In addition to collecting items to help in them in their journey, users must collect items needed to complete their rescue plan. For example, The Brain's two-way radio is broken. To successfully radio for help, kids must first collect a menu of items need to repair the radio. In addition to strengthening problem solving, and memory skills, Arthur's Camping Adventure teaches kids about directions, using a map, developing strategies and thinking ahead. Users also learn fun facts about plants and animals as part of the exploration process.
Users will find two extremely useful items in Arthur's handy backpack: a map of the campgrounds and a list of items needed to complete the chosen rescue attempt. Both are invaluable as part of the establishment and completion of a winning strategy.
